45 Years Later — It’s Real Again

From Memory to Reality

Over the last few months, Bond Guitars has gone from something I was talking about… to something I’m actually building.

That hasn’t been straightforward.

There have been setbacks. Redesigns. Questions I didn’t have answers to at the start. Moments where it would have been easy to stop and leave it as just an idea.

But step by step, piece by piece, it’s been moving forward.

And now, for the first time in decades…

There is a new Bond guitar physically taking shape.

The First Prototype

What you’re seeing now is the very beginning.

Raw wood. Unfinished surfaces. No hardware. No polish. No paint.

But it’s real.

The shape is there. The feel is there. The intent is there.

And most importantly — the difference is there.

This was never meant to be a conventional guitar. It wasn’t designed to follow trends or fit neatly into what already exists.

It was designed to stand apart.

Not Designed to Fit In

That idea sits at the core of everything we’re building.

There are already thousands of guitars out there that look the same, sound the same, and play it safe.

This isn’t one of them.

From the stepped fretboard to the aggressive body shape, every part of this instrument is built with intent. It’s different on purpose.

Not for the sake of being different — but because that’s what it always was.

What Happens Next

This is just the start.

The prototype now moves into finishing, assembly, and setup. It will be played. It will be tested. It will be pushed.

And then, it will be revealed properly.

No shortcuts. No rushing it out. No compromises.

Bond guitars deserve better than that.

So we’re doing it properly.

This Is Just the Beginning

What started as a legacy is becoming something real again.

Not a copy of the past. Not a safe version of what already exists.

Something new.

Something bold.

Something that won’t be for everyone.

This is bold. This is Bond.
